A delicacy originating from Rajasthan (a state in northern India), Pappadums are usually fried, cooked over an open flame, or roasted in a tandoori oven. They can also be cooked in a microwave.
Our Pappadums are wheat free, gluten free, and are very low in fat when not fried. They are also bracha shehakol not mezanot.
Pappadums are normally served as an appetizer with chutney, pickles, dips and salads, or as an accompaniment to an Indian curry.
We have two sizes. Larger sized are approximately 7 inch diameter and our miniature Pappadums are 1 inch diameter.
A treat to both spice lovers and non spice lovers, flavours available are: Plain, Green Chilli, Garlic, Black Pepper, Jeera (Cumin) White Chilli, Very hot and Special.
We are pleased that two of the finest Kosher Indian restaurants in the world have chosen to provide Kavannah Pappadums on their menus. We recommend visiting Beit Hamadras (images to the right) located in Hendon, London, England or Darjeeling in Paris, France to taste our Pappadums.
